The third annual meeting of the ASPIC Clubs network was held on 25th March 2021, virtually. The meeting was attended by participants from the 16 constituent colleges of the network involving student and faculty members of the ASPIC Clubs and speakers from major universities in India and ReAct nodes of North America and Europe.

The competition this year covered various themes on quality of healthcare, health & hygiene and Planetary health with entries from all across the Asia Pacific region. ASPIC Clubs first ever podcast series on antibiotic resistance!
The ASPIC Clubs network is coming out with its own first ever podcast series. The series will showcase various talks on AMR from within the ASPIC Clubs network and also from other eminent groups and personalities. The podcast is meant to create more awareness on antibiotic resistance and also highlight how students can play a pivotal role in creating awareness and behaviour change in communities concerning AMR.

The World Antimicrobial Awareness Week is round the corner; ReAct Asia Pacific and ASPIC Clubs network is organizing the next edition of its photography competition for students. Cash prizes worth 20k will be provided to the winners . The competition is open to students from all countries of the Asia Pacific region.

Shortlist Results of Student Research Champions for AMR
We are pleased to announce the shortlist results of the Student Research Champions for AMR competition organized by ASPIC Clubs network and ReAct Asia Pacific. It has been a great first round with many innovative ideas and proposals in tackling the AMR issue. We are thankful to all the participants and look forward to more exciting proposals in the future.
The second annual meeting of the ASPIC clubs was held on 20th February 2020 at Hotel Aida, Kottayam, India.
The meeting was attended by student and staff representatives from 14 out of the 15 functional ASPIC clubs. The meeting featured an array of expert talks on AMR in relation to various fields and was instrumental in planning activities for the year.
ASPIC Club network is organizing a seminar series on Virology, in view of the Covid-19 outbreak worldwide.
Since India is going through a 21 day lock-down to mitigate the outbreak, it is the right time to effectively utilize spare time available with the students and increase their understanding of the basic principles of virology. It can be helpful in their careers too, as most of the ASPIC club members are from the bio-sciences background.
